Pedro Ivo is also a founding partner and has large experience in civil and commercial litigation and arbitration, mainly in insurance, health insurance, mining, oil & gas and energy law.

Pedro holds graduate and post-graduate degrees in Law from PUC-Rio, specializing in Civil Law. He also holds post-graduate certificates in Insurance and Reinsurance from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation/RJ and in Negotiation – Strategy and Skills and International Commercial Law from King’s College London. Pedro is currently attending a insurance and Reinsurance MBA at the Brazilian National Insurance School – FUNENSEG.
He is also a member of the Brazilian Consumer Relations Working Group at AIDA – Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances and attended as speaker at the XI Brazilian Congress on Insurance and Social Security Law, organized by AIDA’S Brazilian section, in the panel discussing the Insurance Act bill (PL 3.555/2004).
Pedro is a member of the Committee for Studies of the Economic Impact of Legal Decisions in the Health Insurance Sector of the Brazilian Bar Association’s – Rio de Janeiro Section.
Pedro spent 6 years at Sergio Bermudes Advogados, from 2007 to 2011, prior to founding Raphael Miranda Advogados.
